Netflix has released several horror flirting movies in recent weeks ahead of Halloween. We have already told you about titles such as ' Nobody will get out of here alive ' or ' Maw of the night ' , but the streaming platform has reserved for this week two tapes called to be very seen during the next few days,' Nobody sleeps in the forest tonight - Part 2 'and ' Hyphotic ' .

For my part, I decided to give 'Hypnotic' a chance first as it starred Kate Siegel , a fetish actress and wife of Mike Flanagan who we saw very recently in the excellent miniseries 'Midnight Mass' . I wish I could tell you that it was at that level or that it is at least a good movie, but the truth is that we are facing a thriller with the most limited interest.

Direct and monotonous

Hypnotic' tells the story of a woman who does not pass her time and decides to ask for help from a hypnotherapist. It won't take long for you to regret making that decision, as the character played by Jason O'Mara hides malicious intentions. From there the typical comings and goings with the villain of the role being smarter than the rest and delighting more than necessary in his position of superiority.

To be fair, this could lead to an anguishing thriller that would increase the sense of threat that the protagonist has to face, but in 'Hypnotic' the law of minimum effort prevails. The screenplay by Richard D'Ovidio -'13 fantasmas'- is too direct, not giving the slightest opportunity to create any sense of mystery or going preparing the viewer.
